On July 26, local time, the Paris Olympics grandly opened. Two volunteers—Chen Lizhu and Liu Siyan, undergraduate students majoring in English from the Class of 2021, who were selected and trained by the School of Foreign Languages at Northwest University and the Xi’an French Alliance—officially began their volunteer work.
Chen Lizhu serves as an assistant for the Olympic Family, providing round-the-clock, one-on-one support for core members. Her responsibilities include arranging travel plans, booking transportation, and assisting with daily schedules to ensure they can smoothly attend various meetings and events.
Liu Siyan serves as an assistant to the National Olympic Committee. And he works in the Olympic Village to assist the organizing committee with hospitality duties and help athletes and staff coordinate their daily needs, including food, accommodation, and transportation. Now, serving as the National Olympic Committee assistant for Team Thailand, Liu Siyan primarily coordinates daily logistics for the Thai delegation.
